I have been getting this question a lot lately. Especially from my kids. They seem to be a bit confused. Dad, you now eat beans, but won't even eat brown rice? I thought brown rice was good for you? It's better than white rice right? Beans have tons of carbs, how come they are okay?
Wait, vegetables have carbs too? Are they complex? I can eat as many vegetables as I want, but not certain vegetables? What's wrong with white potatoes? Don't they grow straight out of the ground? We don't even take anything away from them. Help!
I know, I know! It's really confusing. So to clear things up, I want to show you how to easily identify a complex carb. One of my friends posted this online this morning and I think it makes the confusing, very simple.

I hope that clear it up!
